
Asan Medical Center and Salymbekov University — together for public health!
Over 800 patients in Naryn received free medical care!
The international medical mission successfully concluded in Naryn city, organized by one of Asia’s leading medical institutions — Asan Medical Center (Seoul, Republic of Korea), Salymbekov University, and the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Naryn Region.

The mission included 46 medical professionals — doctors and nurses from South Korea. Over several days, they provided qualified medical care to around 800 residents of Naryn Region. Patients underwent full check-ups, consultations, and treatments, and received vitamins, medicines, and eyeglasses — completely free of charge.

Main areas of diagnosis and treatment:
Therapy — examination and treatment of chronic diseases;
Pulmonology — diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases;
ENT — ear, nose, and throat treatment;
Ophthalmology — including 21 cataract removal surgeries;
Plastic Surgery — reconstructive surgeries for medical reasons.

The mission also provided laboratory tests, ultrasound scans, ECGs, and medical consultations.

The project was implemented as part of the third mission of Salymbekov University, aimed at improving public health, developing regions, and promoting Kyrgyzstan as an active participant in international initiatives.

This initiative highlights the importance of international cooperation and contributes to the advancement of medical education, science, and public health in Kyrgyzstan.
