From June 15 to 18, 2025, DOC University Hospital at Salymbekov University hosted an international medical mission in partnership with Asan Medical Center (Seoul, Republic of Korea) — one of the world’s leading hospitals.
As part of the humanitarian initiative, free medical assistance was provided to the residents of Kyrgyzstan. The South Korean medical team delivered:
937 free consultations and diagnostic examinations
49 surgeries, including 40 for cataracts, 5 for pterygium, and 4 for eyelid ptosis
free medications based on medical indications
Patients were seen by specialists in pediatrics, cardiology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, family medicine, and other fields. Special attention was given to socially vulnerable groups.
This mission became a significant contribution by Salymbekov University to the development of healthcare and international humanitarian cooperation.
